Event Details:
Participation   Registrations are closed 10 days before the event. After that delay and if places left, a penalty of 8€ will be applied.
The Megavalanche de l'Alpe d'Huez is opened to all participants borned in 1997 and before, MTB license holder (any MTB federation) or with Multisport Assur card or no license holder.
A doctor note which allow you to participate physically and mentally to an MTB competition will be applied for no licensed holders or non Multisport Assur holders.
Under 18 yo must present an authorization from their parents or their legal guardian

Registration admited for Megavalanche: 1.800 men & 200 ladies.
Equipment   Compulsory: full face helmet, long gloves, elbow pads
Strongly recommanded:knee pads, long sleeve jersey.
Cancellation Insurance   Only those who subscribe, in the same time as race registration, might be refund.
Price: 4€ per person and per event.
Object of the cancellation insurance: the organization will refund registration fees to the participant (money transfer and internet fees are not included).
Conditions: the cancellation request must be sent by email or by post until 10 days before the race with no supporting documents. After that date, the participant has to provide a supporting document as doctor note or work papers or death certificate of himself or a member of his family.
No refund will be accepted from any participant who didn’t subscribe to the cancellation insurance.
The refund will be done 30 days maximul after the event.
No refund to any participant who takes the race number or pass.
No refund to any participant who ask for it after the start of the event.
If any participant want to swap with another participant it will cost 10€.
Pack - Pass VISALP   Your VISALP pass gives you access to:
• all the resort's lifts running in summer (on foot or by mountain bike)
• the mountain-bike and trekking routes
• tobogganing (in the morning up to 12.30pm)
• the two indoor and outdoor swimming-pools
• the 26 activities of the Sport and Convention Centre*
• the outdoor skating rink*
• the outdoor tennis courts (from 9am to 2pm)
• the tennis courts at the Sport and Convention Centre (from 10am to 4pm)
• the Huez and Oisans Museum
• the mini-golf pitch
• the Thursday concert in Notre-Dame des Neiges church

With Visalp, you can also take advantage of reduced prices for golf, horse rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, rafting on the Grave and on the Vénéon.

How and where can you pick up your VISALP ?
You need your ID (the 2€ deposit had been already paid when you entered and you could get it back at the end of the week when you will give back your pass). You go to the lift cashier in Alpe d’Huez. Easy you get your pass.

NOTE : From Wednesday July 18th you pick your pass when you take your start number.

Some few explanations for those who never ride MEGAVALANCHE. If you come for the whole week, wthat's a great decision.
Where is it the best to stay ?
The Domaine des Grandes Rousses is great as there are lifts everywhere !
You can book for the whole week at the Alpe d'Huez resort an accommodation, take your pass directly to the cashier lift (if you book it before to us) and then take any lift you need.

BECAREFUL: Camping is forbidden at Alpe d'Huez resort, if you would like there is a camp site in Allemont, contact tourist office of Allemont (MEGAVALANCHE finish race).
