What?
The Limassol Marathon GSO, is the biggest athletic event of the island. Limassol, the second largest city of Cyprus is the proud host of the events which apart from the Marathon, they also include Half Marathon, Atlantica Limassol 10K Race, 5K Corporate Race, 5K Charity Walk, and 2K Kids Fun Run, all organized on the same day.
Where?
The start and finish point are on the Molos (promenade) pedestrian area at the seafront of Limassol. The race follows a coastal route via the towns of Limassol City, Akti Olympion, Germassogia, Agios Tychon, Ancient Amathus and Pyrgos village. You will never be far away from the sea.
When?
Organized by the Limassol Municipality, GSO – the oldest Athletic Organization of Cyprus and OEM, and supported by the Cyprus Tourism Organization and many other Authority Boards and prestigious organizations, the next Marathon events will take place on the 20th February 2011.
Why?
The easy, flat, fast, straight route of the coastal road is ideal for runners of all abilities to achieve Personal Best Times. The slogan ‘Run Along the Waves’ is more than appropriate. Fabulous offers on flights and hotels, great beaches, breathtaking trails and mild weather, make it a bargain package hard to resist. Enjoy the party capital of Cyprus and spend a few relaxing days.

What a better way to show our love and support towards our fellow men, women and children who need it most?
We have included a 5K Charity Walk for people who want to take part, and at the same time contribute to the Charity Organization of their choice.
The Charity Walk is not for competing in the athletic sense as all participants will already be winners in our hearts by raising much needed funds for charity.
Your fundraising will make a difference.
You can either be a member of the team of one of the participating Charity organizations, or take part and contribute to any organization of your choice.
The most important thing to remember is that all the proceeds from the participation fees in the Charity Walk, end up to Charity.
This way you show your love and support by taking part and raising funds, and we show our love and support by donating all proceeds from the Charity Walk participation fees to Charity Organizations.
