Valentia Island Duathlon

Registration will take place in the Community Centre in Chapeltown, Valentia Island from 12 noon, Sunday 18th March, until 13:30 latest. The Transition Area will be in the Car Park servicing the Community Centre and parking restrictions will be in force in Chapeltown Village, so please follow directions provided by Marshals! This event will comprise a Run (4.5km), Cycle (18.5km), Run (3km). The runs will both take the same direction, heading east along the Coast Road - out and back - before returning to Chapeltown, Transition Area. The cycle will head off along the shore road towards Knightstown, and form an anti clockwise loop around Valentia Island (same direction as Valentia Island Triathlon route). THIS EVENT IS A TIMING CHIP EVENT AND HAS BEEN SANCTIONED BY TRIATHLON IRELAND - NON TI MEMBERS MUST PURCHASE A ONE DAY LICENCE WHICH CAN BE PURCHASED FROM TI WEBSITE UP UNTIL THURSDAY 15TH MARCH.
